1. What are clinical research studies?
Clinical research studies help doctors and scientists
determine whether a drug, or device is safe and effective for
humans. Participation in clinical research studies is voluntary, and participants may decide to stop
participating at
any time.
2. What is a placebo?
A placebo is an inactive
substance like normal saline and is given in the same way as the study drug.
3. What if I don’t live close to a treatment center but want to
enroll in the trial?
To alleviate travel and geographic
hurdles, we have selected study sites across the US. We will assist with reimbursement for study-related
travel.
4. Will I be compensated for participating in the clinical
trial?
You will be given a stipend for your time
and effort and you will be reimbursed for all travel-related expenses.
5. Can I stop participating at any time?
Clinical trial participants may withdraw
from a study at any time . Before deciding to take part in a clinical study, potential participants should
thoroughly review the study informed consent form and discuss any questions they have with your doctor.
6. Will being in this research benefit me?
We cannot promise that the treatment used
in this study will help you. By taking part in this study, you may be helping to make a new treatment for
other people suffering from the same disease as yourself.
